Twisted Tower Game Engine: Unity
Twisted Tower (Steam, 2026) is built in Unity. A 2025 interview and a 2026 write-up both put the 3D work there. Steam does not list an engine field.
This page answers one lookup: which engine the Steam game Twisted Tower is built in. Who made it, and the BioShock comparison, stay on the Thomas Brush / Atmos Games page.
What game engine does Twisted Tower use?
Unity. Two independent sources, months apart, put the 3D work there:
- February 2025: in a GameRant interview, Thomas Brush described “setting up a pretty 3D scene in Unity with trees and a character controller,” then said the rest of 3D production (lightmapping, physics, collision, UI) was the hard part.
- June 2026: a Reallusion Magazine write-up — they sell Character Creator / iClone, so treat the sales framing as marketing — still describes Twisted Tower as Brush’s first 3D game in Unity, with scenes exported into Unity via Auto Setup and Data Link. Brush is quoted that sequences run as real-time Unity scenes, not pre-rendered cutscenes.
The Steam store page does not publish an engine field. The Unity answer comes from the interview and the production write-up, not from a store badge.
